Paul Knowlton, J.D., M.Div. is the Founding Director of the newly created Institute for Spirituality in the Professions at Mercer University – McAfee School of Theology. In this role, he will conceptualize, implement, and commercialize the Institute’s vision to heal and strengthen all manner of people, businesses, and commerce through its transformative paradigm of Marketplace Theology™.

Paul’s corporate experience began in construction and forensic engineering before transitioning into law as a patent attorney and then firm managing partner. Leveraging those achievements he then served in the non-profit sector, most recently as the CEO of a foster care ministry with annual revenues of over $5M and 110 employees. A commercial mediator and ordained minister, Paul is also a former foster child and author of The Original Foster Care Survival Guide.

Paul holds his Juris Doctor from Georgia State College of Law, his Master of Divinity from Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology, and his Bachelor’s degree in engineering from Temple University.
