Dr. Michelle Brooks Garber

Assistant to the Dean and Adjunct Professor

Michelle Brooks GarberDr. Michelle Brooks Garber is the assistant to the dean. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in anthropology from Emory University, Master of Divinity from McAfee School of Theology, and Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from the Tift College of Education at Mercer University. Her dissertation was entitled, “Social Media Policy on Campus: A Case Study of the Development and Implementation of a Social Media Policy for University Administrators, Faculty, and Staff.”

Dr. Garber coordinates retention data, institutional effectiveness, and accreditation for the McAfee School of Theology. She also directs academic advising; coordinates course scheduling, registration, and policies and procedures; and monitors academic progress and merit scholarship status. In addition, Dr. Garber teaches two research skills courses in the Doctor of Ministry degree program each year.

Dr. Garber is married to Dr. David G. Garber Jr., and they have two rambunctious Brittany dogs. She enjoys traveling, camping, and photography.
