Registration Information

Registration for Summer and Fall 2024 

Registration for Summer and Fall 2024 will begin online Wednesday, April 3 at 9:00 am (EST) through your My Mercer portal (Online Registration Instructions). It is expected that all currently enrolled students will register for classes on April 3rd for best course availability, as new students will begin registration on April 5th.

To see how classes meet different requirements, such as Ministerial & Public Leadership courses, cultural context electives, comparative religions electives, various Certificate electives, etc., please look at the far-right column on the Course Schedule, called “Class Notes.”


Step 1: Check your My Mercer portal Message Center” to identify your Faculty Academic Advisor (click the + sign to expand the box to see your advisor’s name).

Step 2: Schedule a time to meet in person or virtually with your faculty advisor during the month of MarchFind faculty contact information here. If you will be graduating within the next year, please schedule a time to meet with Dr. Michelle Garber to review your final course requirements to be sure you are able to graduate in the timeframe you have planned.

Step 3: Review your degree requirements and suggested course sequence. Select your degree from the drop down menu below to view your curriculum requirements and a suggested course sequence. Please review before meeting with your faculty advisor.

Step 4: Review the upcoming course schedule and consider alternate class options in case your selected classes close and/or be prepared to add yourself to a wait list.

Step 5: Meet with your faculty advisor. This would also be a good time to discuss embedded certificate options (M.Div. Only), combined degree options, specializations (MA, MTS), vocational preparation, academic support needs, etc.

Step 6: Log into your My Mercer account before the registration date to determine if you have any Holds (all Holds must be cleared in order to register for classes). All fees and insurance must be paid, library books returned, parking tickets paid, immunizations on file, transcripts on file, etc. in order to register.
