Theological Studies

Our Theological Studies program is designed as a good first step into seminary studies designed for professionals and dedicated laity with a deep yearning for thoughtful theological reflection. The course of study provides a foundation of theological literacy for transformational leaders.

Spiritual Care

Our Spiritual Care program is designed for individuals seeking initial or additional training in emotional support and spiritual guidance. The program equips students to offer care in a variety of settings, including congregations, public and private institutions, and community ministries.

Church Leadership

Our Church Leadership program is well suited for dedicated laity serving or planning to serve in church leadership in some capacity. This could be as a deacon, elder, committee chair, or any number of ways they find opportunity to serve. Students will engage in courses that will augment their knowledge and skills for leadership in diverse congregational settings, providing the tools they need to enrich, empower, and support their faith communities.

Ethics

Our Ethics program is designed for individuals who recognize the centrality of moral character, moral discernment, and moral witness in Christian discipleship. Individuals who are pursuing vocations that will specialize in such efforts, including advocacy work, community organizing, ecclesial transformation, and related forms of social, political, and economic witness from a Christian basis will find the program enriching and empowering in their sacred work in the world.

Trauma & Theology

Our Trauma & Theology program is designed for individuals who recognize the need to address theological responses to trauma within various ministry contexts. Courses are cross-disciplinary and examine individual and communal traumas from historical, cultural, theological, pastoral, and/or clinical perspectives. Students in the program will better prepare themselves to minister in response to trauma. This certificate does require previous theological studies such as a Master of Divinity or other master’s degree in theology.
