Current Research

My current writing project is a commentary on Books Four and Five the Psalter (Pss 90-150) for Liturgical Press. The volume will be part of a new commentary series called "The Wisdom Biblical Commentary" that will reflect a feminist reading and understanding of the biblical text. I have been invited to be the "lead writer" for my volume, and I am to contribute 75% of the material that will be included in it. The other 25% of the material is to consist of "other, outside voices," whom I am to enlist. These other voices will be incorporated into the commentary as sidebar excurses, poetic and artistic compositions, personal reflections on the text, and alternate readings of the text. I am intrigued with the project;I have only begun initial research into feminist interpretations of the psalms, so I have a long way to travel in this journey.
