More About Ronald W. Johnson

Prior to his work at McAfee, Dr. Johnson published over 50 separate articles in denominational publications and served as editor while at the Home Mission Board of more than 100 different publications. He has published articles in the Review and Expositor, served as issue editor on two occasions, and published articles in the Journal for the Academy of Evangelism in Theological Education, and has written for secular magazines in the field of electronics.

Dr. Johnson has a broad range of interests. One of those is in the field of technology. He reads in the field of cosmology and physics and has been a licensed Amateur Radio operator for 42 years. He holds the Amateur Extra class of license which is the highest awarded by the Federal Communications Commission. Dr. Johnson is especially interested in the historical Jesus research and reads widely in this field. He is active in the local community and serves as a severe weather spotter and tracker.

Dr. Johnson has served local churches for the past 40 years. He has been active in interim pastorates having served 17 different churches over the last 20 years. Prior to that time, he worked in churches doing conferences, revivals, and special pulpit supply. He and his wife serve in the local community churches in a variety of ways. His wife, Janice, plays piano for the Methodist church in the community in which they live. Dr. Johnson and his wife are active members in a local Baptist church and a small Presbyterian church in their community.
