Nathan Cost

Director of the Center for Calling and Vocational Formation

Nathan is the Director of the Center for Calling and Vocational Formation at McAfee School of Theology, a role he began in 2022 after serving as the Director of Admissions since 2018.  He received his MTS from Candler School of Theology and his BA in History and Education from Lipscomb University.  Prior to McAfee, Nathan served as a teacher, administrator, and researcher in contexts across America and around the world.

He is currently a PhD candidate at Mercer’s Tift College of Education, where his research focuses on phenomenology of religious experience, specifically vocational calling experiences.  His current role combines his passion for theology and student formation with his research on vocation and calling.  In addition to his work at McAfee and Mercer, Nathan frequently speaks, teaches, and leads workshops on vocational and calling.  He is the very proud uncle of seven nieces and nephews.
